Position Overview:
Barwick Banking Company is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Bank Teller to join our Putnam County branch. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, accurately process financial transactions and support customers with their everyday banking needs. This role requires professionalism, strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining the security and integrity of customer accounts and bank operations.
Key Responsibilities include:
Customer Service & Relationship Management
- Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to all customers.
- Assist customers with questions regarding accounts, banking services, and available products.
- Recommend appropriate bank products and refer customers to specialists when needed.
- Account Services
- Open new personal and business accounts in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide special services such as printing account histories, closing accounts, issuing cashier’s checks, and handling foreign currency requests.
Transaction Processing
- Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and transfers accurately and efficiently.
- Accept and organize cash, checks, and other forms of payment.
- Verify customer identities and ensure all required documentation is complete.
- Confirm sufficient funds for requested transactions.
- Record all customer transactions electronically with precision.
Cash Handling & Security
- Verify authenticity of cash and checks and ensure deposit amounts match accompanying paperwork.
- Enter all transactions accurately into the computer system.
- Balance the teller drawer before and after each shift.
- Follow all security procedures and comply with federal banking laws and internal policies.
Compliance & Operational Integrity
- Adhere to federal banking regulations, including anti-money laundering and identity verification requirements.
- Maintain customer confidentiality and follow all bank procedures related to risk management and transaction processing.
Work Environment:
- Fully on-site position at the Palatka, Florida branch.
